Florida International University and Care Access Health Plan, Inc. are pleased to have renewed their Agreement through 2012 which allows Care Access Health Plan to offer its "special affordable premium rates" to all FIU temporary employees, contracted workers and their dependents.

Care Access Health Plan, Inc. has been providing its affordable health care coverage to South Florida residents since 2003. Care Access is a Florida licensed and URAC accredited Health Plan covering a comprehensive range of preventive and routine health care coverages, designed to keep its Members well, and out of the hospital. The affordable rates for FIU temporary employees, contracted workers and their dependents available to FIU are not available through Brokers or sales Agents. The benefits provided by Care Access Health Plan include all Primary and Specialty Physician care, Urgent Care, convenient care (including Walgreens' Take Care Clinics) prescription drug medication, laboratory services, outpatient ambulatory surgery, behavioral health, hearing and vision services, all radiology services, and other preventive health care services. Care Access has over 1500 provider offices in a large network of credentialed providers and physicians in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

A Defined Limited Benefit Hospital Plan is available in through ACE American Insurance Company, Care Access' health care partner. The Ace defined hospital Plan is at an additional affordable premium cost, which can be paid in at the same time as your Care Access premium.

Premium payment: Care Access accepts Credit Card payments, including Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express for premium payment. If chosen Care Access also accepts automatic bank account withdrawal. Please have your bank account number and bank routing information available.
