Subject: Affordable Health Insurance Opportunity
Dear MDC Students,
I am pleased to inform you that the College has successfully arranged for students to enroll in an optional low cost health insurance plan. We know that access to reasonably priced health insurance benefits has been a long-standing concern and it is with great pride that we make this available.
This optional benefit, which will be offered through the Care Access Health Plan, provides comprehensive preventive and routine health care services (e.g. primary and specialist care, urgent care, prescription medication/drug benefit) to students and their dependents at competitive rates. A supplemental rider offers in-hospital medical coverage as well.
During the next few weeks, Care Access representatives will be available on campus to meet with you and explain the benefits in detail. Please read below to see when a representative will be available at your campus. You may also call Care Access at 1-877-411-2247 or visit their website at www.mycareaccess.com . Please take the opportunity to meet with a Care Access representative and find out more information about the plan.
